Electronic Arts announces Need for Speed Heat. The rumors about the subtitle have been confirmed. As part of a live stream, the publisher has released the debut trailer for the new racing game. We’ve included the two-minute video below. EA doesn’t reveal many details about the new NFS. They will follow at gamescom 2019. A countdown on the EA website refers to the first gameplay video at the games fair: The countdown ends on Monday, August 19. The gameplay trailer for Need for Speed Heat will be shown next Monday, around 9 pm – probably at the Opening Night.

“Step on the gas during the day and go all out at night in Need for Speed Heat, a breathtaking street racing experience in which the boundaries of the law fade as soon as the sun sets,” EA writes about the announcement on the racing game’s website. During the day, you’ll explore the open city of Palm City in the Speedhunter showdowns. “Here you can earn money in official racing events to tune and upgrade your high performance sports cars before you shift up a gear at night,” adds the publisher.

At night, you build up your reputation in illegal street races to gain access to bigger races and better parts. However, you should always be careful of the cops. And further: “Endless roads, dangers and races characterize this street racing experience – players get together with their crew, build up their garage full of fast cars and turn the city into their playground,” writes the manufacturer. NFS Heat will offer players more possibilities than ever before.

“Our fans have made it clear that they want more cars, more customization and more challenges, and we’re stepping on the gas with each of these aspects. From the style of your character to the performance of your car to your individual driving style, we’re encouraging everyone to be creative in this new game,” comments Riley Cooper, Creative Director at Ghost Games.

Need for Speed Heat can be pre-ordered for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Early buyers will receive the Mitsubishi Evolution X K.S Edition starter car. With the Deluxe Edition, you will receive three more K.S Edition cars (BMW i8 Coupé, Mercedes C63 AMG Coupé, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport) in addition to the aforementioned car, which you can unlock through progress in the game. There are also three exclusive character skins, REP Boost and Money Boost. Subscribers to EA Access Basic and Origin Access Basic can already play NFS 2019 on 5 November 2019 and play it for ten hours as part of the Play First Trial. The Ghost Games studio is responsible for the development.
